Department of Justice’s superseding indictment against George Santos

By Friends of Kellen Curry

(Long Island, NY) – Kellen Curry, Afghanistan War veteran and Republican candidate for New York’s Third Congressional District, issued the following statement in response to the Department of Justice’s superseding indictment against George Santos, and Republican lawmakers’ resolution to expel him:

“This latest indictment again makes clear what has been apparent since before he even swore his oath – George Santos is unfit to serve the people of NY-3. Long Islanders deserve a leader in Congress who is unequivocally focused on defending Israel and delivering results for our district. Unfortunately, our current representative continues to demonstrate that his primary focus is only himself, and that he is incapable of abiding by the very laws he is charged with enacting.”

“I applaud New York Congressmen D’Esposito, LaLota, Molinaro, Langworthy, and Williams for their resolution to expel Mr. Santos and I join them in their calls for accountability and transparency. The Republican party has a real opportunity to show Americans what responsible leadership looks like. There is a national security crisis at our southern border, our spending and debt are out of control, and our allies are questioning whether they can count on us to have their back. Now is the time for experienced, next-generation leadership.”

“When a terrorist organization commits a horrific attack on the people of Israel, we cannot afford to have our congressman preoccupied by criminal indictments. I know first-hand that national security is a no-fail mission, and we must do everything we can to keep our country and allies safe. I will work tirelessly to protect our people against those who wish to harm us.”

“Stand with me and support our mission for honest leadership in NY-3!”
